Work highlights, updates, and endorsements
I kicked off 2017 by co-facilitating a training for parents and teachers on the topics “Un-learning Racism and Mis-Education in Schools.” The recent US presidential election has generated increased calls for training on racism, diversity, and cultural competency.
My work continues on an oral history project with the Smithsonian National Museum of American History Archives Center on pioneer business leaders. I worked on research assignments for BBC-Radio on US multicultural Shakespeare programs in honor of UK’s ‘Celebrate 400 Years of Shakespeare.‘
I am currently writing and producing a multimedia pilot based on film From Shanghai to Harlem.

I worked on the topics of grief therapy and poverty for the Billy Esposito Foundation and Metlife. I developed multicultural outreach and engagement strategies to promote and publicize mental health resources for bi-lingual and under-served communities. I hosted and coordinated two women’s salons – one for black boomer bloggers and the other an intersectional women’s salon on race, gender, age, and privilege. I advised an indie film festival in Brooklyn about titles, judges, crowdfunding, and sponsors.
As an Education and Training Consultant with New Jersey State Department of Education, Newark Public School and Newark Museum, I designed a literacy and media arts program for teacher-training workshops.
I provided social media strategy and digital writing services for the Harlem Fine Arts Show @harlemfinearts national tour. Click here for a link to my work for them. We set up a crowdfunding campaign for an urban garden project in Columbus, Ohio. I was booked as a featured speaker in Columbus, Ohio at an African American church on the topic: Genealogy, Knowing Your Roots and Lessons from the Garden.
